The HFT 500 started life as a Theoben MK 2 Rapid.  Ben Taylor then rebuilds it to custom specification, adding a high-power regulator of his custom design to control consistency.  Then, the barrel is hand selected from Ben's own supply.  Borrowed from the Theoben S-Type design, the HFT 500 is fitted with a particle filter for total reliability.  Internally, the hammer and hammer spring are modified for low drag and the porting is non standard.  Then, each rifle is expert tuned by Ben Taylor himself to ensure the highest performance possible.  Once the valving exceeds his satisfaction, he focuses his attention on masterfully tuning the latest Theoben trigger design.  Permanently attached at the workshop is a custom moderator built by Genesis Engineering in the UK.  After passing the final inspections, the rifle is fitted to a custom, Ben Taylor designed stock made of high grade walnut with beautiful checkered panels.  As an accent and signature, the stock has a BTAS logo designed into the bottom of the fore end checkering which adds a touch of subtle elegance to this fine package.

Besides being the FX importer in the UK, Ben Taylor has an excellent working relationship with the FX factory and has been involved in some design projects for them.  His expertise is evident with the Cyclone Regulated rifle that is customized by Ben Taylor himself.  This rifle is fitted with one of Ben's high-power regulators that controls the shot variation within close margin.  In .22 caliber, the rifle will give an impressive number of shots at 26 ft lbs from a 230 BAR fill.  Considering the air cylinder volume and barrel length, this rifle is an impressive upgrade to the FX design.  Fitted with a heavy match barrel from Ben's supply, and supported by the FX barrel band, the BT Cyclone Regulated is both consistent and accurate throughout the fill.  This rifle comes complete with fill probe and 2 magazines.
