The secret for longevity of the internal seals is to always keep two pumps of air in the chamber while it is in storage and lube properly per the sheridan manual. Unfortunatly, they don't last a lifetime. I lent mine to a kid / young man, so maybe that's why. But now, I need a rebuild kit -- nobody seems to have one for the original, pre-Benjamin, Sheridans.
