Thumbs up 5 stars
I bought this to replace the stock scope on my Gamo Magnum which would not hold zero. Likely the recoil was just too much for a cheap scope.
The Nikon is worlds better. Though I've only used it for some backyard shooting at about 25 yards, I couldn't be more pleased. The optics are clear and bright, the windage and elevation adjustments are precise, and no tools are needed to set it to zero (just pull out the adjustment knob and rotate). The AO and magnification adjustments are smooth and stay in place once set. Though some might prefer a mil-dot reticle the Nikon Precision reticle works fine for me.
The only con: I would have preferred that Nikon used metal covers versus plastic which are easy to cross-thread and strip if you aren't careful. But that little gripe isn't worth removing a star. I am very pleased with the Nikon Prostaff.
