Diana Model 340 N-TEC Classic .177
Arrived in the original box, nicely repacked in a second larger cardboard box with lots of packing chips, very promptly after ordering.

Gun is beautifully blued, stock is beautifully finished. Tight without rattles, very tight barrel break and closure.

Loaded a Diana EXACT 8.44grain pellet and prepared to fire. Absolutely no first stage and certainly no second stage in the trigger. Gun went off way before I was ready or expected it to fire. Thank goodness the weapon was pointed in a safe direction.

Using the instructions that came with it, I attempted to adjust the trigger using the set screws. There are two screws to adjust first and second stage, the third screw sets the trigger pull weight.

Absolutely impossible to get it right, because the set screws are too short and cannot be screwed in far enough because the screws have a screw head. Others have commented elsewhere about this trigger issue, the trigger vagueness, and problems setting the trigger.

Ended up ordering m3x16mm grub screws (set screws) and replaced the screws that came with the trigger.

Was finally able to get the trigger just exactly how I wanted it, small amount of first stage, definite stop at second stage, and trigger release with small amount of increased pressure. One must be very careful not to set the triggers too light.
Proceeded to sight the gun in and it is indeed very very accurate and consistently so. I am very happy with this rifle and knowing Diana quality, I will enjoy it for many years.

I am only giving it four stars because of the trigger situation. Certainly Diana knows that there is an issue here and I was surprised that this has not been addressed. This is less of a quality issue than a design issue. It just needs longer screws, and these need to be set properly at the factory.

Thank you Airguns of Arizona for prompt shipping and great packing!
