Description

With 70 incredibly consistent shots at 1000 Feet Per Second (FPS) in .177 caliber, or 60 shots at 900 FPS in .22 caliber, the Gauntlet is truly in a class of its own. No longer do you need to worry about variations in FPS due to changing tank pressure as you shoot. As long as the built-in pressure gauge remains in the green, the Gauntlet provides a velocity with very little variation from shot-to-shot.

The Gauntlet achieves these huge numbers of consistent, powerful shots from just one fill of its high capacity 13-cu. in. regulated tank. The built-in regulator delivers minimal FPS variation from shot-to-shot for long, flat shot strings this translates directly into outstanding accuracy for hunting, Field Target competition and just-for-fun plinking.

This multi-shot repeater with an adjustable trigger uses easily loaded interchangeable 10-shot magazines for rapid bolt-action firing. One mag is supplied with the Gauntlet and additional magazines are available as accessories.

The Gauntlet's 3,000 psi air tank is easily filled using the built-in, standard Foster quick connect fitting. For extended shooting sessions, a simple pressure release key (included) allows the compact regulated tank to be unscrewed when pressure is low. It can be replaced with another, fully charged PCP tank for extended shooting periods, without the need to carry bulky High Pressure Air tanks or a hand pump.

Its fully moderated design means the Gauntlet is incredibly quiet. Both stealthy backyard plinkers and serious hunters benefit from its ability to provide rapid, near-silent, full-power follow-up shots on demand.

To maximize its accuracy capability, the Gauntlet is well-balanced and has integral standard dovetails for scope mounting. The easily adjustable stock comb is adjusted by the turn of a knob and locks into position for the ideal cheek weld, whatever your physique or optic choice. Target shooters will appreciate the included single shot tray for the ultimate in precision shooting.

At 8.5 lbs, the Gauntlet is a comfortable air rifle both at the range or in the field. The stock's integral studs allow a sling to be fitted for easy carrying on a hunt.

Everything about this air rifle has been optimized to set the new standard in PCP performance. We've thrown down the gauntlet.

A Serious Contender
I wanted to have a PCP in 25 cal that could put out serious power with cheap Benjamin 28gr domes and reasonable accuracy. I took the leap and bought the Gauntlet after seeing a bunch of video reviews and knowing that the 25 came with a barrel band something that was causing complaints in the 22 and 177. The first time I held the Gauntlet in my hands I was impressed by its all around solidness and also by way it came packed , packaging one would expect from a thousand dollars gun. As for shooting right out of the box with a 3-9X32 Centerpoint and shooting the 28g I made a 3/8 inch group at 20 yards - 8 shots- after the first four shots to adjust the scope. As for power it pushing the 28grs at around 850fps 40 plus FP .
I have had one problem with my Gauntlet and it is that it will not take the safety after cocking the bolt , something that does not bother me because it can be easily de cocked and I do not tend to carry or hand a gun over loaded with a safety on. Anyhow it’s probably an adjustment that needs to be done to the safety in the trigger housing. I already adjusted the travel distance of the sear and the trigger is working just fine , pull weights about 3 pounds.
The Gauntlet in my opinion is a good PCP in 25 caliber for hunting pest like iguanas. As for noise I shoot it outside and it sounds like spitting hard , but what comes out of the barrel means business.
The Gauntlet is an inexpensive PCP rifle compared to the high end PCPs.It will give you a bunch of shots on one fill to 3000 psi- 30 good shots with the 28gr- the tank is a 13 cubic inch and it is REGULATED! That the Umarex clincher , over 60 shots in 22 and probably a whole bunch more in 177. Now do your homework and check out the shot strings of the expensive PCPs and if your not into field target or high end competition, and just a regular guy or gal that likes plinking and shooting pest this rifle is a home run with the bases loaded for $299. The Gauntlet is not heavy and the stock fits like a glove. I love the pistol grip which is solid polymer. Fun to shoot, a bit stiff to cock but gets easier with break in. I love to shoot mine with the single shot tray , the magazine works fine just like a Marauder, but with the tray I get in my opinion more shots and better accuracy. It’s a cinch to load the tray , pull the bolt back and seat it , drop the pellets in the tray and pop the bolt and the pellet is pushed and seated in the breech as if automatically.
If this rifle turns out to be dependable, user friendly - to me it is more simple mechanically would than the Discovery- the Gauntlet will be a good buy for a long time. Hope they add a barrel band to the 22 and 177.
By the way I’m a die hard Diana springer fan.
