Webley

Webley LogoWebley is probably the oldest name in the British gun industry – able to trace its origins back to 1790 when William Davies started making bullet moulds in his factory in Birmingham, England.

Over the years the company gained a worldwide reputation for high quality guns of all types. As far back as 1911 the company had patented an air pistol and in 1924 launched the Mark I air pistol. Many other models have followed over the years but all have had Webley’s core values of high quality, high performance and value for money at their heart.

Over the past couple of decades the company has led a precarious financial existence until tragically it was forced to call in the receivers at the end of 2005. In March 2006 Webley and Scott was purchased and this famous name was saved from extinction. While the original factory is no longer in operation, Webley assures the quality from the past utilizing modern equipment and tools in their Turkish manufacturing plant.
