Description

*DISCONTINUED*

Replaces factory sear on new-style AirForce rifles with a resettable safety catch, making a true 2-stage trigger that is lighter and crisper than original. Installation requires no modification to the factory unit, and is a drop-in design. Some basic disassembly and reassembly required using Allen wrenches, pin punch and a hammer or press. Works in new style models with resettable safety only.

What to expect
My only other trigger modification has been the trigger spring (lighter) replacement from another vendor. The super sear 2 will in effect change the trigger to a single stage trigger. Technically there is still a fist stage but it is not being mechanically acted upon (reset) then there is a slight wall (second stage). I do not have a trigger scale so all i can provide is my perception of trigger pull. That being said the second stage release feels about 25 to 50 percent of stock trigger release.
I believe the safety is the only device other then not having your trigger finger next to the trigger that can render the ‘super sear 2’ safe. I did not try dynamic blows to the weapon to test stability of the (second stage) sear. My feeling is that the trigger release is so light that if you have removed the safety from your weapon for what ever reason, the chances of an unintentional discharge should not be trivialized.
The included spring replacement will greatly increase the force required to set the hammer to the release sear when cycling the bolt. This may or may not affect the longevity of the bolt handle to bolt interface. Should this become an issue replace the delrin bolt with an aluminum aftermarket one. I am not certain what or how to adjust anything on this sear as is implied in the sear name. So as to rating this, 1 star for loss of first stage reset and 4.5 star for second stage release and weight, 2.5 star for installation (there is nothing easy about driving out the pin).
