Still going strong
This is an update on the Omega Aircharger. I purchased it in Aug of 2021. This is a no nonsense piece of equipment. I currently have 50 hrs on it. It would have more, but I also have a Daystate Super Leggero. So it doesn’t get used as much. But this thing has been outstanding. It’s not fast, but at the rate it pumps the air doesn’t get as hot. That’s good because when the tank cools down, you don’t loose as much pressure on the gauge. It’s not loud at all. Sounds like an older washing machine. Simple easy design that just plain works. It has a continued run time of 8 hrs. But with bleeding cycles every 10-15 min your scba will be filled in less than 2 hrs. This can possibly be the last compressor you buy. Now as stated it’s not the fastest, but is dependable. It is one the best purchases I’ve ever made. And the good people at AOA make the experience better. Very kind helpful people that don’t rush to get you off the phone. With all the compressors I have, if one dies, it will be replaced with another Aircharger. GX hit it out the park with this one. You will not be disappointed if you buy this one. Something about having unlimited air makes you shoot more. And hey that’s why we “invested”,at least I did, in the hobby and bought airguns. Thanks for reading my review..May the sun be at your back and and your shots be on target…

3 years with Omega Air Charger
I know I said I wouldn’t post again until it broke but it's been 36 months and it hasn’t happened yet. Still running on grease installed by the factory as received. I turn the grease screw a ½ turn every 2 hours of use unless I hear an occasional squeak, then I give it an extra ½ turn. I run the cooling system until the cylinder head reaches 75 degrees. It stays in the house unless I take it to show a friend thinking of getting into airguns. The vibration hour meter if it’s accurate has 38 hours on it, taking roughly 25 minutes to fill a 75 cu ft tank from 3000 to 4500 psi thru a $20 Air Venturi cigarette filter. I realize that doesn’t sound like a lot of runtime in 3 years, but that’s 37,600 shots thru my Huma regulated Cayden and 9,100 shots thru my modded Notos. That equals 42.6 shots a day, every day for 3 years. Never any signs of water inside either gun when adjusting the internal regulators. I enjoy tweaking my guns, not my compressor.

Great compressor
I bought my Omega Air Charger in August 2021. It has been outstanding! Fills my bottles with no issue at all. I have 10.4 hrs on it. I added the vibration sensing hourmeter. It is making a squeaking sound now,but I’m sure it’s fine. I turned the grease fitting every 4 hrs like it says. But this is one of the Best Buy’s I’ve ever made. Aoa is great to buy from. I hope they keep selling them as if it ever dies, I’ll get another one. No more water buckets and ice for me. Thank you AOA!1

One year with Air Charger
This is my 3rd and final update on my compressor, unless a problem arises. It's been one year and zero problems with my Omega Air Charger. I have 17.3 hours on my Hardline vibration activated hour meter I installed since my 11/29/20 review. Part #HR-8065. It is still running on the grease installed as I received it, I haven't touched the spare syringe of grease it came with yet. I use it to fill my 75 cu. ft. tank and not my gun anymore. Compressor stays in the house, the tank goes everywhere the gun goes. Tank fills from 3000 to 4500 psi in 26 minutes on average. Side of the cylinder heats to 113F, motor 116, radiator 106, water tank 94, on average. I run the cooling system until cylinder temp drops to 75F. My air tank is 85F after filling and loses about 250 psi after cooling. Takes 4 to 5 minutes to top off If you need a full fill and are traveling without your compressor. I bleed water every 10 minutes and just changed my $20 Air Venturi cigarette filter for the first time in one year. It was snow white, no grease but had a few tiny pin head size water drops at the output end. I have 17,500 shots through my Cayden using this to fill. Two weeks ago I installed a Huma regulator inside my air tube and saw no water or rust inside. This is the no frills model, only has auto shut off, which works. I never leave it unattended though. More frills equals more potential things to break. This runs cooler than many I’ve seen, heat causes wear. Fills bottles fast enough, faster fills heats bottles hotter and loses more psi after cooling. Greasing schedule, my manual says 1 click (⅓ turn) every 6 hrs. My greaser has 2 clicks per turn, a newer version. AOA told me 1 turn every 4 hours. Southern Gunner has had his Air Charger for over 6 years and made 5 videos on it. He went from 2 turns at 4 to 2 turns at 5 hrs last I heard, older greaser than mine. I’m curious how the amounts differ between old and new. I started with 1 at 4 but I’ve been going 1/2 every 2 lately for consistency. If I’m overdoing it my filter would’ve let me know. No regrets.

Best money I ever spent
I purchased the Aircharger in December of 2019.
I added an hour meter to the unit soon after.
I currently have 21 hours on the unit with no issues.
I also just purchased the dryer filter and added it inline.
It didn't produce much moisture before but now it is completely
dry air going in. I now have 2 60 minute scba tanks along with my
original 45 minute tank. It fills each of them from 3000 to 4500 in
30 minutes or less. I set a timer on my microwave and bleed the moisture
Every 15 minutes. It usually bleeds less than a bottlecaps worth.
The grease maintenance is super simple. 1 full turn every 4 hours of
runtime. The unit is super quiet especially since i replaced the muffler/air filter
with one from amazon. 13mm thread. It sounds similar to a washing machine agitator but way more quiet. I run mine indoors and can hear the tv no problem.
This unit will probably outlast my tanks. It is that reliable.
If you are on the fence don't be. You will get years of use from this compressor.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Best money I ever spent.

Omega Air Charger Update
Update to my review of the Omega Air Charger. I discovered I had a leak at my DIN fitting on my Omega 75 cu ft bottle when I first filled it and timed the fill. I installed a male Foster fitting on the tank so I could remove the fill whip on the tank when not in use and failed to properly check for leaks. The tank had 3400 PSI in it when I discovered and sealed the leak. I then drained the tank completely overnight. The next day I placed the compressor at my feet within arms reach so I could reach down every ten minutes to purge water. Compressor and air tank were at 67 degrees at start. I used my infrared temp gauge from my Nitro RC truck to watch readings as I filled.

3000 psi 3600 psi 4500 psi

Time 1:04, 1:15, and 1:32

Temps

Cylinder sleeve 114 116 117

Water tank 93 95 96

Radiator 102 103 107

Motor 120 123 124

75 cu ft tank 93 96 98

I had a stopwatch running for fill time and a 10 minute timer on my phone set so I could reach down and bleed water as I watched Ford VS Ferrari during the fill process, a testament to the low sound level of this compressor. Overnight the tank cooled and lost 500 PSI, I topped it off to 4500 in 7 1/2 minutes. My hour meter now has 5.6 hours on it since 11-24-20. I typically top off my gun with compressor after shooting sessions to keep it in working order. AOA tank calculator says I should get 37 fills on my Caydens 280cc tank from 2000 to 3000 PSI from my 75 cu ft bottle and I don’t want compressor sitting unused for more than a few days time. Outdated manual claims 3.5 to 4 hours to fill a 75 cu ft tank from 0 to 4500. Mine took 1 hour 35 minutes. It also states a maximum run time of 8 hours for what that's worth. I totally recommend this compressor. My hand pump works fine if you want to hunt or shoot a few magazines. Not so great for shooting four or five hundred pellets in a session. A tank fills you up in seconds.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
I purchased my compressor in 2016. I have 50 hours run time. The only issue I have had was a blown burst disc caused by an operator error. I highly recommend this unit.

Omega Air Charger 11-29-20
I ordered mine from AOA on 11-14-20 and received it 10 days later. Mine has a tag with manufactured date of 8-12-2020 and has an updated grease port exactly like the one pictured on the Trail Charger, so no extra volume green grease port included like the outdated manual states. The same manual you can download here at AOA, also the Purple Ice bottle was empty. A call to AOA was returned next day by Darren who said purple Ice was not needed and to turn the brass thumb screw one full turn every four hours. It pushes grease like a caulk gun does. I bought a vibration activated hour meter for $41.00 delivered. I mounted it with zip ties (comes with double sided tape) to the right of water tank on flat frame in the flat postion. 3 sensitivity positions, vertical, 45 degree, and flat the most sensitive. It only reads while compressor pumps air, not when fan and water pump run which is what I hoped for. Made by Hardline part #HR-8065. Compressor fills my Benjamin Caydens 280cc tank from 2000 to 3000 psi in 1 min 25 sec on average. Filled my new 75 cubic foot Omega tank bought here at AOA from 0 to 3000 in 1 hour 5 minutes, reaching 4500 in 2 hours and 5 minutes including bleed time. I bled water every 15 minutes with paper towel in hand to catch water sprayed out. I had a cigarette type filter on end of fill hose that was completely dry after filling tank. I did add Purple Ice to water tank with the included anti freeze and purified bottled water before using compressor to fill anything. When delivered to me the water tank was empty but moist from factory test run. Inside tank was dirty so I wiped it with a rag on a wood dowel and brushed tank with new horse shoe shaped toilet brush I use on my whole house water filter housing. Rinsed tank out and vacuumed out debris until clean. After filling tank I used vacuum inside tank on return hose to prime pump and rocked compressor left and right, back and forth slowly to expel all air bubbles from lines and radiator. I did that several times turning pump on and off between rocking until all bubbles were gone. All the videos I watched make this sound 2 to 3 times louder than it is in person, a good washing machine is an accurate comparison. This will stay warm and dry inside my house and I will use my new bottle outside. At 66 lbs it still is portable if you need to take it with you without having to worry about emptying crankcase fluids before moving like some others. This uses grease softer than toothpaste for lubrication, like butter in the sun. I already love this thing.

Review of Omega Air Charger
I received the Omega Air Charger via UPS from Airguns of Arizona on 2 Nov 2019. The outside of the box looked to have some damage but the packaging was good and inside there seemed to be no damage. One of the water lines that went from the pump to the top of the cylinder had jostled loose during transport. I looked into the water reservoir and could see that it was empty, but still wet, so it must have been tested at some point. I added the bottle of anti-freeze and the bottle of Royal Purple ICE and filled the reservoir to ½ inch below the plume with bottled, not distilled water as instructed. I started the unit to ensure that the water was circulating, it was not. I pulled off the water line that had come loose during shipment and forced water into the lines with a small baster and reconnected the line. That evidently primed the pump enough to start the coolant circulating. I let it run for a good 5 minutes in order to get any air out of the lines. I connected the compressor to my 73 cu in air tank and started it up. The air tank was at about 3600 psi and the compressor topped it off to 4500 psi in about 20 minutes. The unit runs very quiet and the auto shutoff worked as it was supposed to. So all in all, I am pretty happy with the unit and hopefully will be able to say the same after putting in many hours of use. The unit came with tools and spare seals but not any instructions on how to do the replacement of those items.

Simple to operate
The unit itself appears to be well designed and solid, so it should provide years of reliable service. While lacking a metal housing, hour meter and some of the automatic features found on higher priced models it should suit the needs of the average user. Thus everything is manual on this machine except for the pressure gage auto-shutoff feature, which works as it should.
The compressor includes various maintenance parts, but other than showing an exploded parts view in the instruction manual it lacks any specifics on installation or any replacement schedule. I'm certain that the AOA personal would be willing advise in this area, but overall I found the user manual to be subpar.
The sound of this compressor is nothing like a shop compressor, it reminds me more of an old agitator style washing machine, but not nearly as loud. While it's running you could easily hold a conversation without raising your voice.
The initial cost is more than some might be willing to spend, but the convenience of having an unlimited air supply at home makes it worthwhile for me.
