Description
The BSA R-10 SE is a fine sporter air rifle. The elegant nutmeg laminate stock sports a very attractive rosewood grip cap and fore end. Fine laser cut checkering adorns the grip and fore end areas to give a good looking no slip fit. The butt pad is adjustable up-and-down and side-to-side. The BSA R-10 SE regulated bolt-action delivers excellent long range performance from the cold hammer-forged match grade barrel. Two ten-shot magazines are included as well as a bonded Moderator for quiet report. The new system gives the shooter the option of a built in moderator or a beautiful blued bare barrel with a 1/2” UNF end thread. The bolt can be placed on the right or left side, which is a convenient feature for left handed shooters. The accuracy of the R-10 SE is fully realized by the excellent match grade trigger unit. This fully adjustable unit comes with a blade shoe for comfort and precise shot control. Air fill is done with a probe system that does not require bottle removal. The state of air charge is displayed by a gauge on the bottom side of the stock while the 300cc bottle contains a valve that allows for spares to be carried in the field. The BSA R-10 SE is a solid long range field and target sporting air rifle.

I have had the gun long enough to be be familiar with it. If you are a small game field hunter as in rabbits and such, this may not be your gun. The Daystate Regal XL is far better. Accurate, powerful and light. Air Arms may suit you better as they are same. Especially the carbine. The BSA R10 SE is accurate. With JSB 14.35 pellets hitting at .5 and .4 inch groups at fifty yards all day long. Ten shot groups never exceed an inch group. One ragged hole. Thank the hammer forged barrel. I cleaned the gun once it was shipped to me and the barrel was filthy. But did not seem to effect accuracy. I cleaned it and it shoots fineI have had the gun long enough to be be familiar with it. It has been stone reliable. No malfunctions. I've shot maybe 1500 pellets. But the main issue, if it is an issue, is weight and size. This gun is both heavy and physically big. The Regal XL is petite compared to the BSA. The thumb hole stock is massive and the the grip portion large. Small hands?? Carrying it all day long would be a chore. I do not. I shoot from a bench and it is rock solid. It will go out to 100 yard and not loose that much accuracy. Groups do spread a bit. Beyond that I can't say. Is it worth the money? Yes as it is both reliable and accurate. The workman ship is spot on and shows the care BSA puts in their guns. Equal to any other British air gun. Shoot from a fixed position and you won't be disappointed. Carrying it all day maybe not.
