Its tremendous power is generated by a robust spring piston power plant cocked by a side lever action that shoots .22 caliber pellets up to 900 feet per second. The substantial one-piece stock allows for comfortable offhand shooting and the precision rifled, fixed barrel system is loaded via the sliding breech opening. Other features of the RWS 48 include an adjustable trigger, adjustable rear sight, and automatic safety.
