Smooth and accurate in Akela
Bought these to try in my .177 Benjamin Akela I picked up here at AoA. I was astonished at how smooth these cycle through the action and how they ultimately resulted in one hole while I was sighting in my scope at 10 yards in my backyard. Pellets also performed the same. I am hoping to settle on one pellet similar in weight to the 12.6 grain Howler, so I can go back and forth without changing any dope on my scope. I bought the Akela for pesting and hunting and was hoping to find a slug that would perform. Looking forward to longer range hunting with these.

The best .177 slug.
These slugs fly true out of the tin. The HW44 loves them just seat pellet in the clip all the way down and clip will hold and they won't fall out. Both .177 and .22 are the business.

Fantastic
Just tried the Howler slugs and wow! I'm amazed how flat these shoot compared to pellets "1/3 of a turn on the elevation turret goes from 20 to 100 yards" and the accuracy was equal or better then any pellet I have shot. Ten rounds through one hole 1/3 MOA at 50 yards with med wind. Now it's time to try them on turkey!
My gun: Daystate Red Wolf ' shot on Med power.
