All air rifles operate on the same principle: pressurized gas (usually air, but sometimes CO2) is introduced into the barrel behind a projectile, and the pressurized gas drives the pellet, slug or BB down the barrel and out the airgun muzzle.
There are several different air pistol powerplants, and the key differences are the ways in which the pressurized gas is stored and delivered. Each powerplant has its advantages and disadvantages and can meet the needs of different types of shooters.
Pellets are generally wasp-waisted cylinders made of lead or non-lead alloys and provide the highest accuracy in the rifled barrels of adult precision air rifles and air pistols. Pellets of various calibers are available in flat-nose, round-nose, pointed, and hollow-point configurations.
Telescopic sights magnify the target and make it easier for the shooter to precisely place the shot. Because of their unique whiplash recoil, spring-piston and gas ram airguns require an airgun-rated scope. By contrast, PCP, pump-up, and CO2 powered airguns do not require an airgun rated scope.
It is highly desirable that the scope mount includes an anti-recoil pin to prevent the scope from sliding off the back of the scope rail. Adjustable and “drooper” scope mounts are also available to allow proper mounting of scopes on airguns that include barrel droop as part of their design.

Yes it's THAT good, But.
All in all the quality of what Weihrauch product this is falls in the catagory of second to none. TX200s you say? Even those beauties have querks that need tuned out or initially delt with. It's a coin toss and my coin landed on the less expensive side for just what I needed, and this allowed me to put the monies I saved towards a very nice scope and mounts. Now but, honestly if I had to change anything, I wish the Weihrauch factory would knurl the uderlever cocking arm with about a good grip size worth, so that a slip off the handle when the hands wet doesn't happen, other than that it can be modified with an aftermarket attachment I suppose, as there's a good amount of info on this model from many people on youtube. You definitely won't regret getting one! And the team at Air Guns of Arizona are top of the line people, I say that with all sincerity, God Bless them all.

Get ready to buy a scope.
I’ve had this rifle about 6 weeks and I love it. My only real complaint is the rear open sight that comes with the rifle. The sight itself is good and easy to sight with once I put a dab of orange reflective paint on the front post but the rear sight keeps creeping back from the recoil of the rifle. When I tried to tighten the single screw that holds it to the dovetail the slot in the screw head (yes, it is a single slot screw head) pealed and now cannot be tightened enough. There is no pit in the dovetail for the screw to set into or a stop pin hole on top of the dovetail to prevent the sight from moving even if the sight had a stop pin. I had the screw tightened to 25 inch pounds of torque and the sight still moved. Then I went to 30 inch pounds and it still moved about 1/8” in 20 shots. If I were to drill a shallow hole for the screw to set into I would blow the warranty. I very much enjoy shooting with open sights so am very disappointed and frustrated with the lousy design of the mounting of the rear sight. The high quality of this rifle deserves better. I’m going to replace the screw with one that has a Phillips or hex head. Don’t know what else to do.
